The Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) coverage is available through KanCare to the child(ren) of individuals who are eligible to enroll in the State Employee Health Plan (SEHP). This program has the potential for savings of several thousand dollars.

State Employees can apply for CHIP for their child(ren) during Open Enrollment, either by filling out the paper application or online at the CHIP website.
