State Employee Health Plan

About Us

Three people reviewing paperwork.

The State Employee Health Plan administers medical plans, dental coverage, voluntary prescription eyewear coverage and tax advantaged accounts for State of Kansas employees.

Here's a breakdown of what SEHP offers:

  • Medical plans: You can choose from plans offered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas or Aetna. Each plan has its own network of healthcare providers, so it's important to consider which one best suits your needs.

  • Dental coverage: SEHP offers a dental plan to help you with the costs of dental care.

  • Voluntary prescription eyewear coverage: SEHP provides voluntary prescription eyewear coverage to help cover the cost of eye exams and glasses or contacts.

  • Tax advantaged accounts: These accounts allow you to set aside money for qualified medical, dental, and voluntary prescription eyewear coverage expenses on a pre-tax basis, reducing your taxable income.
