About Your Benefits

The State of Kansas offers multiple ways for employees to save on eligible expenses through tax-advantaged accounts facilitated by MetLife. There’s a Health Savings Account (HSA), available to employees who enroll in a qualifying High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) like Plans C or N; a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) for those members enrolled in Plans C, J, or N; and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).

Each of these accounts can be used to pay for IRS-qualifying expenses. They’re tax-advantaged because any amount you elect to contribute is deducted from your pay on a pretax basis, saving you on taxes with every paycheck.
