About Your Benefits

The State Employee Health Plan (SEHP) offers four medical plans (Plans A, C, J, and N) for Active State Employees, Non State Employer Group, and NON-MEDICARE Eligible Retiree/Direct Bill Members.

Medical benefits coverage is provided through your choice of Aetna or Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas. Each vendor offers its own unique network of contracting providers. Consider each vendor’s provider network before making your selection.

Prescription benefits for all four plans are provided by CVS Caremark. All medical plan options include Preferred Lab Benefits, and 100% coverage for preventive services when using a Network provider, including annual preventive exams, age-appropriate immunizations, mammograms, colonoscopies, etc.

The Deductible, Coinsurance, and Out-of-Pocket maximums differ among the plans, and your medical benefits have no lifetime maximum. Your medical and pharmacy Out-of-Pocket maximums are combined.

For more information about your specific plan enrollment, visit your Member Administration Portal or email SEHPBenefits@ks.gov

The Preferred Lab Benefit, included with all four medical plans for the SEHP, is offered through the below providers.

The Preferred Lab Benefit is completely voluntary. If you and your healthcare provider choose to use a lab other than one of the Preferred Lab Vendors, you still have lab coverage through your medical plan. By selecting to use one of the labs below, members will receive a discount.
