Rates for PY 2026

The Health Care Commission (HCC) voted to offer differential rates because the medical vendors submitted different proposed costs to administer the medical portion of the State Employee Health Plan.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas submitted a proposal that was higher than Aetna's proposal. Rather than offering only the lower-cost option, the HCC, decided to offer both vendors and allow members to decide which option works best for them. This gives members the flexibility to choose the medical vendor that best suited to their needs.

  • Employee rates for Aetna are unchanged.

  • Employee rates for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas will increase 10% effective 1/1/2027.
